The art of Mosaics was the pre-eminent art of roman times, between the 2nd and the 6th century A.D. Our mosaics are carefully formed of small cubes, or tesserae, cut of various materials (marble, limestone, terra, cotta, …) and fitted close together to create a pattern. All materials used in this collection are natural products and no two pieces will be exactly alike.
